I love this rich quote from the Love Dare calendar sitting on the bookshelf in my home-office. I looked over at it as I prepared to write a message for the Café on Marriage and this quote leaped off of the page and confirmed the message to be shared on forgiveness in a marriage.

Is there a wound within your marriage that has not been dealt with? Is unforgiveness fueling the distance within your marriage? Have hurtful words been spoken that no one refuses to own (take responsibility for), and each person is waiting for the other to apologize? If so, please resolve the issue now before it becomes bigger than your marriage. Happy Mother's Day to all of you precious women!

I love being a Mother and a Grandma. I count it an honor and a joy to be both. I also know the challenges that some times come but I know even better the blessings that abound in this most precious role. As I share this time with the love of my adult children and grandchildren, I pray a blessed, peaceful and love to the full, Mother's Day for all the women who pour out into children of all ages and stages of their lives. I honor you as Mother's. There are many women who have not birthed or adopted a child but they are pouring into the lives of children in so many ways--I salute and acknowledge you as well and pray a blessed Mother's Day for you too!!

You are all significant to the lives of those whom God has privileged you to touch for His glory. May we walk with reverential fear (awe) of GOD realizing our need for Him in the roles He's given to us.

I want to also pray peace and comfort for all of you who may have lost your Mother or Grandma or never had someone in either of those roles pouring into your life in a loving, healthy way. May this day you feel the love of our Heavenly Father in a very comforting way. I miss my Grandma terribly so I understand that feeling. She's been with the Lord since 1990.

My love and prayers are with you all. Blessings and peace!

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Earlier in the school year the project at the public school was to share online something that represents your life and culture with students in other countries that would also view and share online. I was so proud of our Teen daughter when we saw what the students would see online:

This is the part of her "life and culture" (which was the class assignment) that she wanted to share with the world of students out there. JESUS with a heart shape representing HIS love for them.

What I most love is that she shared JESUS and excluded her face. She said, "Mommy, His name is enough!" While her name and school info was shared with the other students online she wanted the focus to be on JESUS and that made my heart so full I was in tears. She is SO right, His name is enough! More than enough. While she has Christian friends I am often moved when I over-hear her counseling her non-Christian friends on the phone who share their concerns with her about their lives and she consistently points them back to JESUS. While they may not "listen" to her now seeds are being planted.

I pray the world would know that JESUS -- His Name, His Word, His Will and His Way is enough--more than enough! Thank you for visiting with me today and if I can pray for you please let me know.

I'm not worthy

My heart is deeply humbled by the love, grace and healing that I've received and have lived for a long time from, in and through Jesus Christ. He has met me on "the bridge" of my life many times in prayer.

He'll meet you too. Call to Him. Pray to Him. Seek Him. He's there. You don't have to wait until you get to a church building or a person. You can talk to Him right where you are.

Feeling unworthy?

I understand. I once lived that very debilitating mind-set. Here's how GOD dealt with my heart on feeling unworthy to be loved by Him through His Son Jesus Christ.

He had me to read with revelation; the life of David and that of Paul. I was reminded way back then that Paul (named Saul at the time) was a murder of Christians but JESUS met him on the road to Damascus and changed Saul's life. His name changed to Paul and his life changed to a man who was on fire and in love with JESUS and would affect lives for the Gospel of Jesus Christ not just until the end of his earthly days but even today right now Paul is still carrying the Gospel message because we read his words inspired by the Holy Spirit; we live them and we share them with others so that they too can live in Christ. Read of Paul's conversion here in Acts 9.

Now, what's that you said about feeling unworthy?

I also realized when I read the story of David with revelation through the Holy Spirit that this was a man who committed adultery, impregnated the wife (Bathsheba) of another man and then had that man killed (2 Samuel 11). David repented before GOD and although GOD in His Sovereignty made the decision to allow their first born to pass as consequence of their sin (2 Samuel 12). GOD still loved David and received his repentance. He and Bathsheba became husband and wife and bore the son; Solomon and we know how GOD used his life as well. David loved GOD. He had the heart of GOD but he sinned but by God's grace he repented (Psalm 51) and GOD forgave him.

You know what else blessed my heart about David? He didn't get ugly and blame GOD for the punishment of he and Bathsheba's sin the way we often do today. We often don't think we deserve any punishment for our sins just because we said, "sorry". I am always humbled by David's behavior to not blame GOD or get angry with GOD but rather to accept GOD's Sovereignty! Great example to all of us.

Again, what's that you said about feeling unworthy?

There are other examples in the WORD of GOD (Holy Bible) but when I had an abortion all those years go it was David and Paul that GOD used to reach my heart so that I would move beyond feeling absolutely unworthy to turn to HIM and be forgiven.

Don't permit people, the enemy, the words of the world or even a few in the Christian community to stop you from hearing and receiving forgiveness and healing for your sin through Jesus Christ. Don't allow anyone to tell you that your sin is too awful; to disgusting and that you're not worthy and don't tell yourself that either and if you are please stop it. None of us are worthy -- none of us even those who never had an abortion! None of us are worthy to receive the grace, mercy and forgiveness of GOD. None of us are worthy to receive HIS love but I am so thankful that when GOD looks at me as a Christian HE sees His Son, Jesus, and that's who makes me worthy. How humbling is that to know that you have someone who became the atonement for your sin. Now that doesn't give us license to sin but it does draw us to REPENTANCE -- His love draws us to absolute repentance because when we wrap our minds/hearts around the fact that JESUS Blood shed was for you and for me; for our sins then how can we not bow before HIM with all humility and say, thank you. How can we not bow our heads and say, please forgive me for my sin--please cleanse my heart and mind and use my life for Your glory Lord.

I could share so much more with you today but I want you to meet JESUS on the bridge. He's there and He's calling you. Don't allow one more moment to lapse. It's not about you feeling worthy but it's about HIM being worthy. Trust Him. Receive His love. Lay down your sins before Him and ask Him with a genuine heart to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. He will. Then ask Him to heal your heart. He will. For most, if you're like me; healing was a journey and that's ok but start the journey with HIM now. He'll be with you every step.

He's GOD!
He's Holy!
He's Righteous!
He's Worthy and....His love for you is unfailing!!

Now, bow your head and meet Him on the bridge...

I have been going through my posts and cleaning out my blog and came across a few worth sharing again. I pray the re-post below from April 2010 blesses you.

Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)"... " Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

"Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh!" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing", said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw.
"I just wanted to be sure of you."

I can't seem to get enough of this quote and not because I am a Winnie the Pooh girl, decorated both of my daughter's rooms in this theme when they were little and had a knock down out of this world "Winnie the Pooh" themed birthday party for my first born Grand daughter when she turned one; no those are not the reasons why I can't get enough of this quote but rather it's because it speaks to where I was long ago and early on in my walk with the LORD. I knew HE existed. I knew HE was GOD. I knew HE was there but was HE there for me? I just wanted to be sure of HIM for myself--not through what my precious Grandparents said, the Reverend said or anyone else but just for myself.

It took a number of years for me to arrive to that knowing--that certainty that GOD was there for me and with me. Years of pursuing Him and lingering in His presence which continues to this day and moment, is what helped me to realize that I didn't have to wonder about whether HE was there. I knew HE was and my heart rejoices.

I shared something on my Facebook yesterday that I wanted to share here as I believe it will encourage someone to begin to be SURE of GOD! Be sure that HE is with you!

Early yesterday morning (Friday) as my feet touched the floor I said, "LORD, please show yourself to me in an incredible way today". As the morning progressed I was in the kitchen preparing to leave. The house was quiet as everyone had left. I really enjoy those moments of quiet.

SUDDENLY...

Doorbell rang. Dogs barked wildly as usual. Looked through the window and no one was at the front door. I opened the door with something in my hand (safety precaution) and to my surprise there was a beautiful bird parked right in front of my door. I stepped outside and when the bird didn't move I thought perhaps he was injured. HOWEVER, he was looking right at me and he was chirping up a storm (singing unto the LORD). My soul was warmed and even better I was so amazed that this bird was looking at me singing that I turned around to my dogs to say, "Look at this!!!!" but realized that they were both SILENT and standing at the door looking at the bird. If you knew my dogs this would SHOCK you. They were neither barking nor attempting to run through the open doorway at the bird!!!

I quickly realized what was happening...

I looked up with tears pouring down my face and said:

"Thank You LORD for showing yourself to me in an incredible way!!!"

After which, the Bird flew away... my heart was pounding with joy unspeakable! I can barely write this for crying now.

You will never know how much I needed to see, feel and hear GOD in an incredible way yesterday morning. All is well but I've been under serious spiritual attack as I continue to step out into the deep even more over the years. The devil is already defeated and I'm not new to the rodeo so please understand that I'm not afraid or concerned. I'm merely stating the obvious and that is the attacks are there and they are real but I know I'm covered in the BLOOD OF JESUS and so I rejoice.

I was so thankful that the LORD answered my prayer. I didn't doubt that HE would because I am sure of HIM as Piglet needed to be sure of Winnie. I'm grateful for the privilege of HIS love through Christ and for the humbling awareness that I can be sure of HIM. I never want to take HIM for granted and may HE forgive me for the times I may have. It blew me away the MANNER in which HE showed HIMSELF to me and the fact that HE loves me the way that HE does.

I wanted to share this today because GOD LOVES YOU too the same way. Be sure of HIM in your life. Ask to see HIM revealed to you in an incredible way. I'm sure HE already does. At times we're so filled up with the doings of life that we can miss all those incredible revelations of GOD and His love.

Thank YOU LORD GOD for showing Your beauty and love to us in incredible ways. We love and appreciate You.

Thank you for visiting with me today. I pray this blessed someone. That's all it's meant to do and to give our GOD all the glory. I'm praying with and for you in line with God's word. May His Hand remain with you and your family always and may you live sure of HIM and His love for you in Jesus Precious Name! Amen and Amen!

Marriage: My hubby doesn't know Jesus yet...

With tears streaming down her face, she clinched her tissue tightly and with a quivering voice she said, “My hubby doesn’t know Jesus yet. I don’t know what to do. I love him so much and I want him to know Jesus like I do.” As she thought of what it would mean to his life now and for eternity, she cried even more. I wrapped my arms around her and began to cry out to God for her husband’s salvation. I called him by name. I spoke and prayed God’s word for her husband. What encouragement would you give to a younger Mommy?

Galatians 6:2(NIV)
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

As a young couple raising our children we had challenges but the blessings far outweighed. However, I remember the times I felt overwhelmed, unheard and exhausted as a mother—trying to meet everyone’s needs and feeling inadequate at times. I didn't have a network of Godly women around me to lean on. Grandma went to the Lord when my oldest was 3.5 shortly thereafter I was married and in time added another child and at times I felt alone as a Mommy. I did all I could to love and nurture them along with my hubby but there were moments when I could have used a Christ-centered mature aged woman's wisdom to pour into my soul. Now, I'm a Grandma of two and I pour into them and their parents and it caused me to think about all of the other young mothers who need to be supported with the day-to-day parts of parenting while celebrating the blessings of being a Mommy.

Back in March I posed a question on my facebook not realizing that I would eventually share the answers in a post on my blog, but I believe God will use it to encourage other young mothers. I hope it will encourage you—

What would be your biblical advice and personal experience that you would share with young mothers today raising young children in the society and times that we live in? Listed below are a few of the answers:

"There's one thing I picked up along the way that comes to mind. Remember not to think of all the unexpected conversations, needs, wants, whims and disasters, as interruptions to your day. As a mom, these things are kinda the point. ;)" V.J.

"Don't worry about what others do...focus on what "GOD would have you do regarding raising your children/grandchildren!" A.B.P.

‎"If it won't matter in 20 years, don't sweat it!" And... (my bias will show here:) Do not rely on books written by child-rearing experts or psychologists. GOD wrote the book on child rearing. HIS ways are best. Godly children have come and gone through the centuries with no care by their mothers to what the popular culture or trend of the day was." E.B.G.

"Don't buy into the belief that teenagers *must* rebel and so you give up on them. Keep loving them and keep holding them to standards and boundaries. Don't think that disrespect is o.k. because "they're teenagers and they're *supposed* to behave that way." Give them grace and room to grow and test their wings a bit, but still keep some guidelines and expectations of behavior, and let your love be a safety net beneath their wings, to catch them if/when they fall." N. L.

I also added my own thoughts below...

"...May I add, I would say, pray for them now and pray for their future. Pray for God's purposes for them. Pray for their future spouses and children. Pray for them to say no to the temptation to sin in various areas as they are growing up. Love them, nurture them, SAY I love you daily and often. Lead by example. When you blow it, repent not just to God but when the circumstances call for it, apologize to them too. Let them SEE JESUS at work in you. I was taught, "Do as I say not as I do" and that is wrong teaching. I never taught my kids that. I was taught, "Kids are to be seen not heard". I did not teach my kids that. We welcomed our children's voices but with respect and love. You don't own your kids. They are not your property so treat them with love and care. They, like you, belong to GOD. I would also tell a young Mother don't discipline out of anger. When you are angry, pause and take a breath because if you say something it can make a long lasting impression on them. Finally, all the details are not that important (dishes, cleaning, working, etc.), do what you need to but don't let anything come before a hug and a kiss to your child. Don't let anything come before you pause and answer the child's voice that calls your name, "Mommy, Mommy". They will grow up faster than you think so treasure every moment now even the challenging ones. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you have rough moments in parenting. You are not alone. Trust in God's leading. He will direct your path." LS

"Oh and IF your TEEN or ADULT child does something wrong, something that is out of the realm of how you raised them remember to SEE THEM THROUGH GOD'S EYES and not through the circumstance or behavior. Stand firm on God's Word for your children. Give counsel and correction but see them the way God has ordained their lives. Don't give up on them and never be embarrassed by any negative behavior. We don't accept inappropriate behavior but do not define them by the behavior. Remember, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Speak life from God's Word into them to block out the voice of the enemy who is trying to deceive them. GOD has His hand on them in ways you can and can not see. He loves them deeply." LS

Titus 2:3-5 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

I have been a single Mom, married Mom, working outside the home Mom and a stay-at-home with my own business Mom and I can tell you that each category (and any one I may have missed), needs to be supported and loved on. If you have any words of wisdom to pour into a young mother raising children in this society; children especially from birth to 18, please share it here on the blog so that people who may not use facebook can visit the blog and gain Christian based encouragement as a Mommy. Raising children is the most precious and special gift and it is also one of the most challenging because we have been given the privilege to take care of and love another human life. Let us be a help to the young mothers coming along behind us. When all is said and done; the best guide to raising our children and living our lives is found in the Word of God (Bible). The best support is found when one woman turns around and extends her hand to other women of all ages to help them to be the best at what God has called them to do including parenting. simplify or lose untold treasurers...

"We Christians must simplify our lives or lose untold treasures on earth and in eternity. Modern civilization is so complex as to make the devotional life but impossible. The need for solitude and quietness was never greater than it is today." A. W. Tozer

Such wisdom spoken by A.W. Tozer. Life often flies by with our to-dos moving as rapidly as a speeding train but nothing is more important than our time of prayer, study of the Word and fellowship with the LORD. Nothing else is sweeter or more gratifying and nothing is more necessary especially in these times!

In the busyness of life we often have to make decisions to let go of some of the things we may enjoy doing so that we can focus on what God has purposed us to do. I call it living blessed and balanced.

Do you feel as if your life is flying by as fast as a speeding train? Do you wonder when is the last time you exhaled? If so, then you are probably missing some uninterrupted time with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. When our own well is running dry it is a sign that we need to slow down and fill up at the Well of the LORD. A.W. Tozer said, "we Christians must simplify our lives or lose untold treasures on earth and in eternity." Such a powerful statement. When our lives are simplified we are able to keep the main thing the main thing and that is glorifying our GOD and living the life that He has purposed for us as women, wives, single women, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, home-school mom's, ministers, leaders, business women, caregivers, volunteers, retirees and more. In what ways are you simplifying your life? The Word tells us that Iron sharpens Iron so let's sharpen each other and share ways that you simplify your life. One of the ways I simplified my life is I get up even earlier so that I have some good quiet and uninterrupted time with God. Another way that I simplify my life is I have learned to laugh a lot more and not take everything so seriously :) Ok, your turn.

Tammy's Story of God's Restorative Power

I am off line this Holy week but did not want to miss the opportunity to share JESUS with anyone who stops in. I've done so much praying, ingesting His Word and crying this Holy week that I look like a puffed Teddy Bear! Each day has been intentional pulling away, setting aside and engaging with GOD the Father, Son and Holy Spirit on an even deeper level.

Someone wrote to me, "focus on the resurrection not his death for he is alive". I choose to focus on every bit of my King Jesus and all that He's done for us. Without the work done at the cross there would not be a resurrection to celebrate. My soul is humbled by the love, humility and willing sacrifice of JESUS. I weep every time I think of what He's done for my life! May I never lose that weeping of gratitude. May I never forget. May I always be grateful for the Amazing Grace and unconditional LOVE shown to me, to all of us at the cross...

John 3:16(KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Son of GOD --God and Man--SINLESS, blameless, pure YET He went to the cross for me and for you!
SINLESS, blameless, pure -- YET endured being falsely accused, spit on, beaten, clothes torn off, a crown of thorns pressed down on his head, viciously flogged until his skin was removed -- mocked, yelled at and ridiculed YET He went to the cross for me and for you!

That BLOOD, that precious blood that flowed out when they pierced our Kings side is the BLOOD that has saved our life! The penalty that He endured should have been our penalty but thanks be to GOD that ABBA FATHER was willing to send His Son Jesus and He was willing to go to the cross for us, for OUR SINS and all who believe on Him shall never die but have life everlasting! That's love beyond human comprehension. The LOVE THAT ONLY GOD COULD GIVE.

Luke 22:34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.

Luke 23:44-47 (NIV) 44It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last. 47The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man."

For the fullness of the crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection I am always humbled in reading:
Matthew 27 and 28, Luke 22, 23 and 24.

The BLOOD OF JESUS will never lose it's power! Hallelujah!!

JESUS LIVES!!! He is Risen as He said!!! Hallelujah!!
Our Redeemer lives forevermore and we who believe in Him are alive in HIM!!! Hallelujah!!!

The RESURRECTION

Luke 24:1-6 (NIV) "On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; he has risen!..."

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

Jesus asked the question, "Do you believe this?" I answered one day long ago when I said yes to Him --Yes, that He is the resurrection and the life --Yes that He is the way, the truth and the life --Yes that he is the only way to the Father which is in Heaven --Yes that He died for my sins--Yes that I am a sinner in need of salvation!--Yes, that JESUS is my LORD, Savior and King! Do you believe this too?

If we believe then we must live as Believers and tell others so that they too will believe in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in all that He has done for them. Hallelujah!

Precious LORD Jesus, again there are no words to express our love and appreciation to You for all that You have done for us and so our soul cries out thank You...thank You...thank You Precious LORD. We worship and adore You. You are the King of Glory and we love You. Thank You for loving us. It's in Your everlasting and mighty Name we pray. Amen and Amen!

Ladies,

This Saturday, March 31st from 8:30 a.m. to Noon at a local church, I am hosting the first of what I believe will be many by God's grace; You Are Beautiful In God's Eyes Women's Seminar. I am excited and prayerful about all GOD Almighty is going to do in the lives of the precious women! We have had a great response to the sign-up! I have 100 packets that I have prayed over for the hands of each woman who will open it and glean what GOD wants her to know and to believe about herself!

I am asking for your prayers. If you feel led to please pray in agreement with us for:

The women God has selected to be there. Please pray against the MANY distractions of the enemy that would hinder any of them from attending.
Please pray for the words of life GOD has given to me to deliver to His Daughters...pray I will deliver them with all humility and honor unto Him.
Please pray for my precious team (my hubby, youngest daughter and two friends) who are working with me in various capacities for the seminar.
Please pray for my health and the 3.5 hours I will be standing. My lower back was out recently (a long standing problem that reoccurs on occasion).
MOST importantly please pray that GOD's divine will be done in the lives of each woman present and that HE receives all of the glory in Jesus Name!

Also, I wanted to share with you that the Wednesday night 9 week Bible Study on my book which we began January 4th was absolutely awesome! I didn't want to say goodbye to those precious ladies! The women experienced revelation, hope, healing and restoration in several areas. The feedback was unto the glory of our KING JESUS who is the One who does the healing and restoring! Amen! Wanted to share a few of the ladies with you...

I can't express my appreciation to you for your prayers but please know that I am asking God to bless you double for the time you take to pause and pray for the needs of this seminar. GOD has given me a mandate to bring this message of how He views His Daughters to ALL WOMEN. He has spoken some things specifically in to my heart and that of my husband and we are determined to do His will. With that said, may I ask you to pray in agreement in one FINAL area?

Please pray for open doors to take this message every where God intends and for people to be receptive when I reach out to them. In these times people are very cautious when they "don't know you" and I understand that fully! So please pray that as I reach out that they will SEE and HEAR JESUS and my heart for Him and for touching their lives with His message of hope, encouragement and restoration.

Saying It Well

A few weeks ago I enjoyed a hot cup of Chai Tea at one of my favorite places Barnes and Noble. I love bookstores! Gift certificates to the Bookstore makes a great gift for a book junkie (BIG SMILE). So as I stood in the bookstore, I turned around and Saying It Well leaped off of the shelf and into my hands. I read the first two chapters and then purchased it. I don't want to give away all the specifics of the book but I think this is great for anyone who has been called into a ministry where you will use your voice/words to speak into the lives of people--inspired by the Holy Spirit. Mr. Swindoll brings his personal experiences combined with practical and realistic teaching to an important subject and that is "saying it well".

Whatever your area of ministry or business, God's Holy Word is primary for our education and edification along with a relationship with God in prayer, a humble heart, a desire to be a blessing and being led by the Holy Spirit. We can't do anything apart from Christ and why would we want to? Whatever we do must have His grace and anointing on it so that God will be glorified! Amen?! Amen!

God has also blessed us with some humbled men and women who have walked before us in the areas of ministry and business that God is using our lives in now. I have a few that I have gleaned from for many years such as my Grandparents who are both with the Lord, Joyce Meyer, John Maxwell, Dr. Sam Chand, A.W. Tozer, Smith Smigglesworth, Pastor Adrian Rogers, Bishop and Pastor McBath, Charles Spurgeon and Chuck Swindoll to name a few. How about you? Who is on your list?

Bless you as you say it well, live it well, give it well and build it well for the edification of others and unto the glory of God!

The blessing of phone chats with women who love JESUS!

Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

If you're like me the word busy is a part of your vocabulary. Busy is not a bad word unless we are so busy that we are too busy for time with God, our families and taking care of ourselves. We must operate in balance and not spend all the time being busy doing things (work, ministry, etc.) and miss out on the importance of nurturing our relationships. With that being said, I closed out 2011 with a decision to develop the relationships I had made online. With my busy lifestyle the telephone is usually not a means for social time for me the way it was many years ago. I often find my phone time is spent ministering but I couldn't think of another way to connect with the special women God has placed in my life online but to arrange what I call phone chats.

I have enjoyed the blessing of phone chatting one time this year with Lisa B, Debbie, DeLonda, Cherie and Dori. They are all beautiful women of God. Our lives and lifestyles are very different yet we share many similarities. The most important common bond between us is JESUS! Ladies, we need each other in the body of Christ and I believe that often times due to our schedules and lifestyles we can't always connect with each other the way we'd prefer to. Many of the women who I enjoy sharing with in blogging and social media don't live in the same state with me so having them over for Tea/Coffee and sharing God time just can't happen so having a short time on the phone with the women I feel led to connect with has been such a blessing and I'm looking forward to more phone chats over the coming months!

The phone calls are times of laughter, learning, conversations about God and our families and all that God is doing in our lives. I have enjoyed those times when I've prayed with them or they have prayed for me. It reminds me of Hebrews 10:23-25.

Hebrews 10:23-25 (AMP) 23So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. 24And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, 25Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.

There is so much in this passage but what I want to focus on for the purposes of this message is how we must support each other in the faith--encouraging and stimulating each other on to good deeds. Helping each other to stand firm, without wavering, on the promises of the One who is faithful and that is GOD! Amen?! Amen! Vs. 25 is normally referenced for Christians attending church together and I'd like to also apply that to phone chats and getting together in person at each others homes -- anywhere that we can share about God, His Word, have prayer and fellowship together.

Another benefit to phone chats is connecting with women who share an understanding of your purpose and calling in God. For example, if you connect online with a woman who serves in a way that you serve in the Kingdom, you can encourage each other in that particular area even more because you both will understand some of the challenges and the many blessings that are connected to serving in that particular area. Make sense? Iron sharpens iron as the Word says. Are you spending time making some personal connections and sharpening and investing into some of the women you connect with online?

Having in-person (off-line) friendships and relationships is vital. We weren't made to communicate solely behind a screen however if you've made some online relationships that are valuable, consider ways to connect with each other off-line. How about a phone chat once per month to kick things off? Go for it.

Do you believe it?

Do you believe that God has an awesome plan for you? Do you believe that you are His workmanship? Do you believe that you are His masterpiece--that His hand is on your life and He is molding and shaping you more and more into the image of His Son as you yield your will to His will?

Dare to believe that GOD is doing something awesome in and through your life and that His plans for you are great as is your future in Christ! Now, take a moment and just thank Him!!

I pray this familiar and powerful Scripture blesses you as you meditate on it's truth!

Open the Windows—Let in the Light

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

If you want victory, you must expose the place of your doubts and fears. Many of us are not willing to do that. The devil has intimidated so many of us that we hide our eyes from the sunshine of God’s light. There is really nothing to be afraid of when it comes to the devil.

Do you know what fear is? False Evidence Appearing Real. You can be fooled by false evidence. Take a bank robber with his hand in his coat pocket pretending it is a gun. His power comes from the power of deception. His power is the power of fear!

Friend, victory’s arrows cannot be shot through closed windows. Is there any area of your life that you have been unwilling to open the window on? Turn your face to the light and give it to God.

I pray this blessed and encouraged you in some way. Have a FEARLESS day in the light of our LORD!!!

Marriage: Lips that drip with honey

A married couple faced a rough patch in their relationship that led to a very painful argument. After an hour or so of slinging words at each other the wife, in frustration, said to her husband: “You never listen to me! Why don’t you ever listen to me? This is not my fault. You’re the one who is wrong and if you think I’m going to cook dinner for you tonight after your attitude you can forget it! And, you don’t have to go to church with me or the kids tomorrow! I’m tired of you hurting my feelings! You can be so mean!”

Who or what is defining you?

As women we often define ourselves by the roles we walk in-- wife, mother, single mom, daughter, sister, friend, educator, caregiver, ministry leader, business woman, and student. We sometimes look for others to validate us in those roles. We desire to be good at what we’re doing rather than just being the best at who we are in Christ. Make sense? I met a woman and when I asked her about herself she took five minutes to run down a list of all the many rolls she is occupied with but I didn’t learn anything about HER. As I shared that with her she smiled and said, “I never really thought about who I am only what I do and who I do it for.”
